| About Us The Southern Utah Networkers was the brain child of Roxanne Leonard. Roxanne has been a member of a number of Chambers in the Salt Lake City area, and brought a great deal of knowledge about networking groups as she relocated to southern Utah. How it all started: Eric Werny a partner in a local Internet Hosting company, was scouting for sales leads, when he discovered that www.abobeimports.com was about to expire. Thinking that it was a great name, and had potential, Eric did a cold call at the business, and met Roxanne who was the manager at the time. During the conversation, Roxanne brought up the idea of the Network Group, and Eric got excited. He immediately dialed Jinx Dabney of Dabney and Dabney law firm, head of the local Toast Master groups, and the legal council for the chamber and talked to him about the idea while in the presence of Roxanne. He thought it was a fantastic idea. So we set about calling a number of fellow business owners, and inviting them to the first meeting. The first meeting was well attended, and has been going strong ever since and ever growing in numbers. |
